I learn on July 18-22

This week I learned Black quote and we are making are own website.

The <blockquote> tag defines a long quotation.
A browser inserts white space before and after a blockquote element. It also insert margins for the blockquote element.
How and When to use block quotes:
  • Use block quotes whenever your quote exceeds four lines of text
  • Below is an example of INCORRECT MLA formatting
In Book Two of Christian Doctrine Milton explains that the general category of virtue (he differentiates between general and specific categories of virtue), which “are relevant to the whole duty of man” (CE xvii. 27) are comprised of understanding and will. Why should memory be the discarded component? Ignatian meditations employ memory to dramatize a biblical event in one’s imagination. If the object of meditation is the Nativity, the retreatant places himself at the scene: he sees the baby Jesus, hears the animals surrounding the manger, and uses all his senses to recreate the event in his imagination, thus becoming a part of the biblical scene.  The first stage of the meditative process focuses on the event itself as opposed to scripture, which for Milton problematizes memory.  Further, evidence suggests that Milton understood exactly what it meant to retreat, Ignatian-style, into the inner self for private imaginings:  “It is better therefore to contemplate the Deity, and to conceive of him, not with reference to human passions, that is, after the manner of men, who are never weary of forming subtle imaginations respecting him,  but  after the manner of Scripture, that is, in the way wherein God  has  offered himself  to our contemplation; . . .” (CE xiv. 33).
Who are these ambiguous men who “never weary of forming subtle imaginations”? St.Ignatius Loyola? St. Bernard of Clairvaux? St. Bonaventure? Or any and every one of a hundred other Catholics whose meditative treatises flooded England, their works churned out through secret presses? Milton’s reference to never wearying men not only suggests his awareness of Ignatian treatises, but the very specific nature of his remark on “subtle imaginations” (CE xiv. 33), increases the likelihood that he did not record in his Commonplace Book his readings of at least some of these texts.

·        And here is the same text in properly formatted MLA style

I learn on July 11-15

This week I learned different types of span inline elemenets.
The <span> tag is used to group inline-elements in a document.
The <span> tag provides no visual change by itself.
The <span> tag provides a way to add a hook to a part of a text or a part of a document.
When the text is hooked in a span element you can add styles to the content, or manipulate the content with for example JavaScript.
In this Web Standards Curriculum article, I am going to explain to you how and when to use the two elements in HTML that are not used to describe the content. The span anddiv elements do not actually confer any meaning to the content they envelop; instead, they are a generic mechanism that allows you to create custom structure or groupings of elements where no other HTML element is really appropriate, and that can be then styled with CSS or manipulated via JavaScript. Although divs don’t add any semantic meaning, they could be considered to represent a structural division of the mark-up, along with the appropriate semantic class or ID name.
They are the “tag of the last resort” and should only be used where no other HTML element fits the bill, because they have no meaning to assistive techologies, search engines,

When I was 2nd year I learned in com is.

HTML is a computer language devised to allow website creation. These websites can then be viewed by anyone else connected to the Internet. It is relatively easy to learn, with the basics being accessible to most people in one sitting; and quite powerful in what it allows you to create. It is constantly undergoing revision and evolution to meet the demands and requirements of the growing Internet audience under the direction of the » W3C, the organisation charged with designing and maintaining the language.
The definition of HTML is HyperText Markup Language.
  • HyperText is the method by which you move around on the web — by clicking on special text called hyperlinks which bring you to the next page. The fact that it ishyper just means it is not linear — i.e. you can go to any place on the Internet whenever you want by clicking on links — there is no set order to do things in.
  • Markup is what HTML tags do to the text inside them. They mark it as a certain type of text (italicised text, for example).
  • HTML is a Language, as it has code-words and syntax like any other language.
  • HTML consists of a series of short codes typed into a text-file by the site author — these are the tags. The text is then saved as a html file, and viewed through a browser, like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. This browser reads the file and translates the text into a visible form, hopefully rendering the page as the author had intended. Writing your ownHTML entails using tags correctly to create your vision. You can use anything from a rudimentary text-editor to a powerful graphical editor to create HTML pages.

June 27-30 I learned in computer..........

This week I learned the different types of website.
Static Website-A static website is. the simplest form of website, in which the site’s content is delivered without the use of server side processing. Static websites are used principally for brochure sites and can include complex graphics, animations and JavaScript driven features
Dynamic Websites-
Dynamic websites rely on server side scripting to provided advanced interactivity and usually use a database to deliver the content for individual pages. A dynamic approach is appropriate for developing large websites with content which is formulaic, for example, catalogues, photograph albums and complex series of data. A dynamic website will be required to allow users to sort and search records, or to restrict access to parts of the website using a log-in procedure.
Content managed Websites-
An eCommerce website is a dynamic website which has the functionality to process financial transactions. Most eCommerce websites are built to mimic a bricks and mortar store and use the model of stock pages, shopping basket system and checkout, using a secure online payment system. Many eCommerce sites also include a content management system, so that product details can be added or updated, and some include advanced features such as automated stock control.

Eccomerce Websites-A content managed website is a further refinement of the database driven dynamic site. The content management system provides a password protected interface through which users can add, edit and remove content from the site. A content management system is particularly useful in the case of large sites which have numerous contributors, some of whom may be working from remote locations.
Flash Websites-
Flash is proprietary software developed by Macromedia which is used to generate complex animations. The programme is sophisticated enough for entire websites to be constructed using Flash technology. Flash websites can be visually stunning and provide otherwise unachievable levels of user interactivity. However, it is almost impossible to carry out any meaningful form of SEO on a Flash site and so it should, generally, be avoided.
And Thats all this week....

Earth the only planet can live....††

We all know that the Earth is alive, but not just teeming with life; it is a living entity. It moves, deep inside and on the surface. Moreover, scientists have now discovered that the origins of life itself depended on the active geology of our planet. The earth is more than simply our birthplace, it is quite literally the thing that gave us birth.
Living planet
Filmed over three years and at a cost of £3 million, Professor Aubrey Manning takes us on this amazing journey of discovery. In locations as diverse as the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, the polar ice cap, the crater of an active volcano in Hawaii and the peaks of the Himalayas, it follows scientists as they piece together the clues that reveal the secrets of the planet and the life it sustains.

Nature and technology working together
Often seen as opposing, conflicting phenomena, nature and man-made technology compliment each other throughout the making of this series, creating a journey of discovery that takes you to places you have never been able to venture. Where cameras cannot not go, the latest animation techniques take over; state-of-the-art CGI is used to travel through time to reveal how events over four billion years ago forged a living planet, unique in the solar system.

This marriage of science and nature reveals the hidden history of our planet, from the origin of its oceans to the creation of dry land; from the life and death of super-continents to the rising of vast mountain ranges, and from the onset of Ice Ages to the evolution of life itself.

Professor who?
He may not be David Attenborough, but Aubrey Manning is a widely published scholar. He's one of the country's leading experts on animal behaviour, and concentrates his research on genetics, development and evolution of behaviour.

Among the many posts he has held in his life are: Chairman of Edinburgh Brook Advisory Centre, Chairman of Council, Scottish Wildlife Trust and is currently a trustee of the National Museums of Scotland. He also holds honorary Doctorates from University Paul Sabatier and the Open University, so it's good to know we are in very safe hands!

Geology is the key
The study of rocks was the basis for this enormous project. Two centuries ago, by examining the rocks beneath the Earth's surface, scientists started to investigate the history of our planet and began formulating the astonishing concept of geological time, holding the key to many of life's mysteries. Even within a small landmass such as the UK, the rock under your feet will be quite different; In mountainous regions such as Scotland, Wales and the north of England the rock shows signs of glaciation, while in the south of England much of the rock is covered with boulder clay, deposited by glaciers. If you want to study the rock formation of your area the best places to start are road cuttings and local quarries. If you live near the sea, look along the cliff faces or even your local church may hold secrets from the earth's past.

Ring of Fire
The Pacific Ocean is rimmed by a chain of active volcanoes, arranged in a series of graceful arcs and extending 30,000 kilometres from New Zealand through Fiji, New Guinea, the Philippines, Japan, the Aleutian Islands, and down the west coast of the Americas to Patagonia. This necklace of volcanoes, continually rocked by earthquakes, has been christened the 'Ring of Fire'. Scientists exploring the link between the Pacific Ocean and the earthquakes and volcanoes which surround it have formulated a remarkable theory, plate tectonics, which explains not only how the outer part of the Earth works, but how the continents themselves, and the mineral wealth they contain, were first formed and continue to grow.

A world apart
Is the Earth unique, and if so, why? To find an answer, scientists have had to explore the Solar System, searching for clues about our planet's birth. Uniquely amongst the terrestrial planets, the Earth has retained liquid water on its surface for over 4 billion years, despite a steady increase in the Sun's heat output. This water has had a profound influence on the planet's geological activity, as well as being a breeding ground for life. But living organisms may have played a crucial role in ensuring that liquid water exists on Earth, again, confirmation that the planet's geology and biology are symbiotically linked
